The American Legion Auxiliary offers one of the most
extensive scholarship programs today. Scholarships enable our youth to pursue
higher education, to become the well informed and well educated citizens of
tomorrow. Scholarships are offered at the National and Department levels. In
addition, many Units also offer scholarships.
Need A Lift
is an excellent resource for high school
students to acquire information about how to apply for scholarships, what
educational opportunities are available, careers, and much more. It is important
that each Unit representative supply this information to high school counselors.
If possible, provide several copies for each school. The most recent edition,
58th (2009) is published by the American
Legion.
